Domaine Direct is a highly regarded independent London wholesale wine merchant (minimum order one case/12 bottles), specialising in domaine-bottled Burgundy wines and agent for Leeuwin Estate.  Domaine Direct was founded in 1981 to bring Burgundy’s best domaine-bottled wines to UK buyers.

We aim to show the diverse faces of Burgundy’s fine wine growing regions: Chablis, the Côte d’Or (Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits), the Chalonnais, Mâconnais and Beaujolais. Some of the winemakers’ names we import may be unfamiliar; others have well-established reputations – all are passionate about translating the distinctive characteristics, the typicité of Burgundy’s vineyards into fine wine.

For many Burgundy wine lovers, ourselves included, this is one of the principal pleasures of the region’s wines. The delicate nuances between two adjoining vineyards in Nuits-St-Georges, the complete contrast between a Puligny Referts and Folatières – the ability to bring out such differences is the trump card of well-made domaine bottlings and faithfully reflects the true spirit of the patchwork of vineyards and appellations that make up Burgundy.

In our quest for wines of exceptional quality, we became UK agents over a decade ago for one of Western Australia’s flagship wineries, Leeuwin Estate, maker of the world renowned Art Series Chardonnay. We have continued to expand our portfolio of agencies, bringing consumers fresh and vibrant wines from California and South Africa.
