About Our Wines

We buy hand-made wines from growers who really care about authenticity, character and balance. We taste in Burgundy many times during the year, looking for wines which best reflect their origin and appellation character. We follow each wine we choose, tasting it on average three times between barrel and bottle. Our selection, even from domaines we have worked with for many years, is not static, and we make our buying decisions on the merits of each wine, sometimes changing our preferred cuvée or vineyard according to the strengths of each vintage. Many of our producers are internationally renowned (Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Domaine G. Roumier, Etienne Sauzet, among others, in Burgundy, Leeuwin Estate in Australia), but we have also tracked down rising stars such as Pascal Roblet-Monnot in Volnay, Domaine du Clos Salomon in Givry and Claire Naudin of Naudin-Ferrand in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits.
