In spite of the intense heat of the vintage, this is a splendidly fresh, unevolved Nuits. Vinified from organically grown grapes in a south-facing, suntrap vineyard, this deep crimson, slate and cassis wine offers cool minerality, high energy, sappy flavours and a hugely rich finish. Drink from 2011.
