Domaine Châtaignier Durand

Juliénas is in the far north of the Beaujolais region with granite and clay based soils. The cru is known for producing wines which are perfumed with notable backbone; similar to Fleurie in terms of aromatics but more intensely violet scented with ample body and a strong spicy character.

Jean-Marc makes beautifully elegant, concentrated Beaujolais. Richly aromatic with bright, firm acidity. The wines are immensely drinkable with smooth, velvetly  tannins and the textbook heady violet perfume.
