Volnay 1er cru Taillepieds

Top-end Volnay – from the upper slopes – can sometimes surprise because tannins are finer and the wines may appear lighter than those with more bulk, from down the hill. But the best wines manage to be powerful and persistent whilst apparently weightless. This Taillepieds is the most compact, most mineral and slowest developing of Pascal Roblet’s four Volnay premiers crus. Graphite and rose aromas with a long release of ripe, tight flavour on the palate. Compelling concentration and length.
