Focus on Generic Burgundy

We focus here below on six regional, generic wines. Distinctive and delicious, they are a match for many of Burgundy’s more senior appellations, delivering sensationally fresh, characterful drinking and earning their place even in the most exclusive cellars. They display the virtues of top winemaking from some of Burgundy’s best winemakers, with a real sense of place, but without a painful price penalty.
These stylish and exciting Burgundies can be served and enjoyed equally well on simple and grander occasions. They are some of our personal favourites and merit serious consideration.
