Christophe Cordier’s love of wine runs in the family. His grandparents had a few vines under the tenant farming system and grew beans between the rows. As a child Christophe spent all his holidays running round the vine stocks around Fuisse.
Christophe studied in Davaye and found the vineyards so breathtakingly beautiful, he stayed there. He and his parents took over his grandparents tenant holding in 1987 and they now have 26 hectares. In 2003, Christophe created a high-end wine merchants under his name. He explains, “It allows me to express myself on the countless terroirs of the Maconnais…I know the region and its wine-growers so well – we work together without contracts. I spot the grapes and I buy when my heart tells me to..”.
