Domaine Alain Burguet
This domaine has a reputation for big, rich wines, helped by their choice to pick late, but whilst the wines have structure an breadth the tannins are silky and refined. With brothers Jean-Luc and Eric now in charge after the semi-retirement of their brother their father Alain, extraction techniques have been pared back and adjusted to the climat and vintage rather than carried out as a standard formula. They believe that indigenous yeasts are the reason for the backbone of minerality in their wines and reduced sulphur additions bring purity and transparency.
