Domaine Henri Naudin-Ferrand
This domaine is actually situated in the Hautes Côtes where Claire is the star, regularly lauded by the press for her wines which straddle the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits divide. The wines display great purity, nothing is overworked. They are fleshy and fruity enough to be enjoyed in relative youth but also make very worthy cellar candidates.
Buying Burgundy should not just be about securing scarce grands crus – Burgundy fans should be snapping up well-priced gems such as this whilst they can. Claire can do top-end too, and her Echezeaux is a revelation.
